There is a definite growing trend in the physical therapy world in which more and more doctors are prescribing the Wii for physical therapy. A few weeks ago I wrote about how the Nintendo Wii was being used to help heal patients and it seems that this is really catching on. The idea is that a patient can learn balance, coordination and upper and lower body strength.
I personally think that the Wii’s interactivity will motivate people to continue their physical therapy and enjoy the process along the way. Which is important especially when you actually need to do physical therapy. So hopefully Wii-Therapy catches on!
